Frunkly Series 1
Instructions
Installation, removal & use
Installation
-
1. remove all objects from the frunk
To ensure that nothing gets in the way during installation, first remove all objects from your frunk.
Don't worry, everything will find its place again in the end.
-
2. remove the two screws in the frunk
You will find two screws on the bottom of the Frunk (see picture). Loosen these with the tool provided and then unscrew them completely by hand.
It is best to store the two loosened screws in the enclosed bag.
-
3. attach the feet
You will find the two screws with cap in the enclosed bag.
-
4. place the rack in the frunk
Place the frame, with the base plate at the back, in the frunk. Align the two holes in the base of the rack with the holes in the base of the frunk.
-
5. fix the frame in the frunk
To fix the frame in the frunk, use the two enclosed screws with star grip.
-
6. fine adjustment
Adjust the front legs, which you attached in step 3, so that they rest on the bottom of the Frunk but do not push the frame upwards.
The installation is now complete!
-
7. insert the table top
Place the tabletop in the frunk with the connecting pieces on the underside facing downwards. To avoid damage, make sure that the tabletop does not protrude over the rubber edge.
Expansion
-
1. remove the table top
It is best to store the table top flat and level.
-
2. remove all objects
Remove all objects so that nothing disturbs you during removal.
If you are storing Frunkly for longer, secure the two hinges with a cord or cable tie so that they do not open under any circumstances.
-
3. loosen the screws with the handle
Loosen the screws with the handle that hold the frame in place and put it back in the bag.
-
4. remove the frame
Remove the frame and put it to one side. You can also unscrew the two feet and put them in the bag.
-
5. screw in the original screws
Take the two original screws of the Frunk and screw them in by hand (clockwise). Use the tool supplied to tighten them at the end.
Setup for use
-
1. open the frunk
-
2. lift the tabletop
Alternatively, you can put it to one side or someone else can hold it for you. This is the best way to find your own solution.
-
3. extend the folding hinges
Gently pull the hinges upwards so that the safety catch is overcome. The hinges will then extend on their own.
Note: In very cold temperatures, the hinges may extend somewhat sluggishly and have to be extended manually.
-
4. align the tabletop
Align the table top in the middle so that the fastenings on the underside are aligned with the hinges.
With a little practice, you can quickly get the hang of it.
-
5. slide the tabletop onto the hinges
This can cause the hinges to move backwards slightly. However, this is completely normal and is due to the safety catch on the table top.
-
6. check the safety of the table top
Check that both hinges are inserted all the way into the tabletop attachment and that you can only pull the tabletop off again with a little force.
-
7. do your thing
Enjoy your stopover; Cook a meal; Work on your computer
Pay attention to the load limit of 10 kg and distribute the load evenly.
Disassembly
-
1. grip the tabletop from the side with both hands
-
2. pull off the table top
Pull the tabletop towards you. To do this, you must overcome the safety catch on the table attachment.
-
3. put the tabletop to one side
As with the body, you can either place the tabletop next to the car or lay it down as shown in the picture. Find the solution that is most convenient for you.
-
4. fold in the hinges
Fold the hinges in to the end. You will find a safety catch on the frame which engages in a hole in the hinge and holds it closed.
-
5. carefully place the tabletop on top
Make sure that the table top does not protrude over the rubber edge.
